Brush tip presets, layers, and color fill layers are more than enough to create visually stunning digital art in Photoshop. Photoshop has various brush options, allowing designers to perform digital painting seamlessly. Product PhotoĮver wondered why McDonald's offers ad images that make you tempted more than ads of your local burger joint? Product photo manipulation transforms a raw product image into a beautiful one and wins over the business competition. ![]() We have learned a great deal about logo designing in our previous blogs, but did you know Photoshop is the widely used software for logo designing? The Photoshop interface is simple and easy to learn to design logos. ![]() Though Photoshop is not made to code websites, it is still one of the most widely used software to design webpage sections, buttons, etc. Also, many other tasks such as photo manipulation, basic animations, illustrations, and more can be performed. This is one of the common advantages of Photoshop, where designers use this software to edit raw images. Many, even after completing online graphic designing courses and spending a few years in the graphic designing field, do not have a fair idea of - ‘For what work photoshop is used.’ In this blog, we will discuss when to use Photoshop and 10 uses of Photoshop that every graphic designer should know. What is the use of Photoshop? For the basics, Photoshop is simply used to transform raw photos into stunning images, but there are many other cool things. Macro makes it possible to automate multiple steps with a click of a button.Photoshop is one of the most common and highly talked about topics in the graphic designing circles. You can import just about any file format in CD including AI format.Īnother good feature of CD is macro code. I use CD for vinyl cutting because it is very easy to do vector editing than AI. Try it out first before buying the Full version. There are lots more.ĬorelDRAW has subscription option for X6 and X7 for $24.95. Those are some of the differences I found when I am doing graphics editing that stand out. What I meant is converting a bitmap color image to color halftone. No matter what adjustment I do I can not get the color halftone close to the original. CD has tendency to darken and shift the colors. PS does not alter the appearance of color halftone of the original. I find that Color Halftone is more accurate than CD or Photopaint. On the other hand PS had Photopaint and CD's bitmap editor beat. I still have not figured out how to do them in AI. ![]() Combine, Trim, Weld and much more takes very few simple steps in CD. I have difficulty doing the same things that I find very easy with CD than AI. I find it is very user friendly when it comes to vector editing. I grew up with CorelDRAW since version 3 on up to X5. The only thing that I can think of that we use Photoshop for outside of cropping and color adjustments is the magic wand for color changes on graphics and removing backgrounds.Įnd of story, which would be best for us as we venture into the exciting world of vinyl?Ĭlick to expand.I would say take the best of both brands. Would it be beneficial to change over to Corel and relearn it? Which is better for Vinyl, Corel or Illustrator? I am assuming that there isn't much difference for what simple things we do as far as graphics. ![]() We have a monthly subscription for the Adobe products and noticed that Corel is the same price. I am seeing a lot more about CorelDraw than I do Illustrator when it comes to vinyl. No one in our shop is proficient but we can do what we need. We currently use Illustrator and Photoshop and have all of our needs met. I have dabbled just a little bit in vinyl (I had a cricut at home so I brought it to work) just enough to find that it will do well in our shop. I have done embroidery and heat press for years. ![]()
